For the inaugural Subliminal Artist Trail, Jay from Leichardt Council, helps attach my digital mural of a mass protest held on Sydney’s main street during the 2015 Leichardt Fringe Festival. Temporary art installations located in the civic precinct were curated by Bronwyn Tuohy to present another side to the seat of power. The idea behind my work is that citizens can experience a kind of collective empowerment in reclaiming their streets as part of the community commons which is particularly prescient in light of growing community opposition to Westconnex freeway.
